queen of hearts~
real name. Harleen "Harley" Quinzel.
codename. n/a.
age. 26.
affiliation. Arkham's Staff! So it's a nice grey area.
occupation. Criminal Psychologist at Arkham Asylum.
pb. Brittany Murphy.

brief biography. It was a warm, summer night when Mr. and Mrs. Quinzel entered the maternity wing of Gotham Memorial. They fussed about the room, the air conditioning, fresh water, and softer pillows for the entire 34 hour labor that the Missus went through until a little brunette girl finally arrived, the bundle of joy smiling widely and looking around with bright blues full of mischief. Her name was Harleen, but people called her Harley growing up (at least until she did something bad, then it was strictly Harleen Francis Quinzel yelled an octave higher than normal), and she was taken home the following day to begin her life as one of the newest Gotham babies. It suited her well, the moderate middle-class lifestyle that she grew up with, the spoon in her mouth not gold and the food on her plate a mix of Kraft Dinner and discounted chicken so she could afford the new sneakers, black and red!, she had wanted for her first day of kindergarten.

For her, schooling was simple, she had a pretty high IQ from the start and things seemed too easy that she could goof off every now and then with her classmates and end up in the elementary version of detention, often found after class behind a puff of chalk dust, muttering something about the teacher's ugly shoes and how hers were still perfect and how she was looking forward to her gymnastics class after school from 4-6, every day. It was a skill and training she enjoyed, it wasn't exercise to her but being pretty, and girly, with a strength that those ballet sissies didn't understand. She was mainly bitter towards ballerinas because she had no sense of rhythm when dancing, and was asked to leave the first week of classes because she totally round housed this stupid little brunette girl.

It continued on straight through to high school, the simple routines of studying, laughing and spinning around on balance beams. Heracademics began to sink though, only because her mind had become distracted very easily by a boy. He was her first love, and she devoted everything she had to him, until he broke her heart a year later and she lost herself once again ingymnastics , adding in a lot of acrobatic rolls, launches and becoming quite the little powerhouse within the class, talks of her qualifying for theOlympics already present. School went by easily, and she graduated with modest marks and made it in Gotham State University on a Gymnastics scholarship, setting her major as aPsychiatry under Dr. Odin Markus. It was with a simple thesis, "There are only two circumstances under which a person disregards the rules of society. When they commit a crime, or when they're in love." that she got in to the graduate program. Of course, she had to use a case study for this process, and she had chosen her then present boyfriend, Guy Kuposki, who had been developing a 'think drink' that would calm and center him to focus on school.

She came to see him, sullen and not her usual laughing, happy self, to tell him that she had gone through a red light in a car she had stolen, after black mailing Dr. Markus for a better grade, and possibly shooting him fatally -- even producing a recently fired pistol as a convincing piece of evidence. Harley asked him if he still loved her, and he ran from the room, only to be found later in thegymnasium where she said the shooting had taken place, to find him standing over a homeless man he had just shot, and he was laughing nervously, believing him to actually be Dr. Markus and that the problems were over, only the awkward smile made her feel uncomfortable and he quickly asked her to help shoot himself, asking her because she loved him. The gun went off, though she'd never admit that she had helped him do it, and she went back to Dr. Markus with her findings, who had spiked Guy'sconcocted drink with Joker Venom to deal with the stress she would be placing on him.

She graduated shortly after, with glowing references from Dr. Markus (having slept with him to get through the course) and immediately went to Arkham Asylum to pursue the Joker, feeling she knew how he worked better than anybody, and it was thanks for the glowing letter of recommendation that she became an intern at the Asylum. It's here, that she had begun to study him from afar, putting in claims later on to meet him face to face. She needed to meet him.

Needed to...

powers/abilities/cool gadgets. Olympic level gymnast; she is a spectacular, limber gymnast, able to move like quite the acrobatic as if it was as easy and fluid as breathing. She has had years, upon years of training, having been trained in it since she was a child and remained adament about her training ever since.

Psychology Specialist; A degree in Psychology from Gotham State University, she graduated with relatively good marks and managed to snag a coveted position as an intern at Arkham! Yays.
